For this image, I saw my cat and knew I wanted to do something with cats. The first part was looking for a cat, then a tiger showed up and I was getting somewhere. 'Mother Mother' was my audio inspiration to go for a slow and sad yet unsettling image with a bit of class. I find the mixture of cute and classy with fear and rage to be somewhat calming to myself, so I used red as my main color to project an unsettling feeling with a cute cat to balance it out. If I were to redo this, I would put more thought or even draw it. I'm not so fond of the tiger in the background, to be honest. -Louise
I love dystopias and futuristic scenes, I wanted to give it a try and create my own futuristic dystopian image. I started with the mid-ground, the forest, and added the foreground and lastly the background. I used a lot of Gaussian blur for this image, I think it adds the illusion of distance pretty well. I don't have a 'wrap' function so I made due with 'skew' when transforming objects. A lot of what I wanted to add for the futuristic feel sadly didn't make it to the top, but I think it's good as a hint. I used a lot of color filters and layer settings to fix the hues in this image.
The most difficult part was the fact I didn't have the right photoshop!! I had to make this in my animation program in order to use the polygon tool and edit the flat image in photoshop elements. Tedious, but I learned a lot.
